Summary of FERC Orders on Large Loads and Co-Location

Brattle Senior Consultant Andrew Levitt and Energy Associate Dr. Aniruddh Mohan were recently invited by Bank of America’s Power Utilities & Alternative Energy team to present an expert briefing to their corporate and investor audience.
Their presentation, “FERC Orders on Large Loads and Co-Location,” examined the evolving framework for transmission service to large electricity loads such as data centers, focusing on recent Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) orders and the resulting changes underway in PJM and other Regional Transmission Organizations. Mr. Levitt and Dr. Mohan also discussed the implications of proposed new transmission service offerings for the accelerated interconnection of data centers and other large loads.
