Jeff Bandman is Founder and Principal of Bandman Advisors, a consulting and advisory practice focused on innovation and regulation in financial services with special expertise in FinTech and RegTech.

Prior to forming Bandman Advisors, Mr. Bandman served the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in several senior leadership roles. He applies his market and regulatory experience to advise on matters related to FinTech, RegTech, derivatives, cryptoassets, blockchain, financial markets, and the US and international regulatory frameworks. As a widely recognized thought leader on blockchain and cryptocurrency, he regularly conducts training seminars for regulators on digital assets and international studies.

Recently, Mr. Bandman was one of a small number of individuals appointed to the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) Financial Innovation Standing Committee’s Consultative Working Group.

He also was appointed as an expert to the Expert Panel of the EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum established by the European Parliament and European Commission. The Parliament and Ministry of Finance of Cyprus have also appointed him to advise on new distributed ledger technology (DLT) legislation and to perform a national risk assessment for Cyprus under new international Financial Action Task Force (FATF) requirements related to money laundering risks for virtual assets and virtual asset service providers.
