Dr. Viswanathan has expertise in electricity markets, climate policy, greenhouse gas accounting, ESG issues and the economic analysis of renewable resources.
She has provided public testimony at the California Public Utilities Commission, the California Energy Commission, and the New York Public Service Commission. Her academic research has focused on environmental, social, and governance issues to assess firms’ corporate sustainability efforts.
Dr. Viswanathan previously worked at the Natural Resources Defense Council on energy policy, integration of distributed energy resources, and renewable energy procurement.
