Dr. Maloney is a microeconomist with expertise in competition, antitrust, and employment litigation.

She has experience analyzing market power and competitive effects in a wide variety of industries, including healthcare, agriculture, and technology. In her work, Dr. Maloney frequently makes use of large and complex datasets, employing innovative machine learning and natural language processing algorithms to take advantage of data that would be unwieldy using traditional methods. In addition, she has worked on cases involving discrimination, especially wage and employment discrimination.

Prior to joining Brattle, Dr. Maloney received her PhD from the University of California at Irvine, where her research focused on labor market discrimination and the economics of gender. While there, she began her consulting work, contributing to expert reports on high-profile class actions involving companies such as Google, Oracle, and Nike.
