Dr. Agarwal is a financial economist specializing in empirical corporate finance and applied econometrics. She works on matters related to securities, financial markets, valuation, and corporate finance.

With extensive experience in litigation consulting, Dr. Agarwal addresses a wide range of complex finance-related issues across industries such as banking, investment management, financial services, retail, and technology. She has worked closely with leading economic and financial experts and led consulting teams through all stages of regulatory investigations, litigation, arbitration, and mediation – including contributing to the development of economic and financial models to assess damages, supporting expert analyses and reports, and preparing for depositions and trials. Dr. Agarwal is also adept at working with large and complex datasets, applying innovative data processing techniques to deliver tailored insights that meet the unique needs of each client.

Prior to joining Brattle, Dr. Agarwal completed her PhD in finance, where her dissertation studied leverage, debt capacity, and cash flow volatility in offshoring firms. Her academic research also explored topics in corporate culture, compensation contracts, and entrepreneurship. While working on her PhD, Dr. Agarwal taught undergraduate finance courses in introductory financial management and investment management, gaining valuable experience in communicating complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
