Principal Johannes Pfeifenberger and Managing Energy Associate Dr. Long Lam will discuss the findings from Brattle’s July 2025 report, Optimizing Grid Infrastructure and Proactive Planning to Support Load Growth and Public Policy Goals, commissioned by the Clean Air Task Force (CATF). Their report overview will be followed by a panel discussion with regulatory, policy, and large-customer experts.

The discussion will highlight how utilities and regulators can take immediate steps to future-proof the grid, minimize costs and emissions, and lay the groundwork for an electricity system capable of meeting rising demand in a timely and affordable manner while simultaneously meeting economic development and clean energy policy objectives.

Other panelists will include:

  • Nicole Pavia | CATF
  • Bryn Baker | Clean Energy Buyers Association
  • John Bernecker | NYSERDA
  • Sarah Freeman | Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission
  • Kirsten Verclas | National Association of State Energy Officials
