In September, the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Regulatory Authority reportedly launched coordinated inquiries into more than 200 digital asset treasury (DAT) firms – public companies that maintain significant digital asset holdings – for possible insider trading activity prior to the announcement of crypto purchases.
