Principal Ryan Hledik was featured on a recent episode of the Living on Earth podcast, “Virtual Power Plants.”

The electricity grid is struggling to accommodate the surge in renewables like wind and solar, and there is often a mismatch between when the power is being generated and when it is being used. Mr. Hledik joins Living on Earth host Steve Curwood to discuss how virtual power plants can tap home and electric vehicle batteries and shift the timing of HVAC and appliance demand to help close this gap.
