These presentations, “Distributed Batteries: Why Stick Them Behind the Meter?” and “Affordability and Resilience Through a Decentralized Power Grid: Observations From North America,” were presented at the EU4Energy Policy Forum. A collaboration between the International Energy Agency (IEA), the European Union, and other implementing parties, the event was designed to support countries in implementing sustainable energy policies and cooperative energy sector development regionally. In 2025, programming and support focused on six countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine.
