Dr. Jan Jindra served as a valuation expert in Securities and Exchange Commission v. Ariel Quiros, et al., Case No. 16-CV-21301-DPG, in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He prepared an expert report and testified at the May 2016 federal preliminary-injunction hearing concerning the Jay Peak Biomedical Research Park (AnC Bio Vermont) project.

His analysis evaluated projected revenues, product commercialization, FDA-approval timelines, operating expenses, profitability, and job-creation assumptions, including comparisons with industry peers. He also analyzed a discounted-cash-flow valuation of the Jay Peak Resort, replicated the underlying valuation model, and assessed the effects of subsequently available operating performance and capital-expenditure information on the resort’s valuation, as well as the industry characteristics.
