Julia Zhu is an associate in the finance practice of The Brattle Group. She specializes in business and securities valuation in complex financial transactions and is experienced in financial advisory and litigation support.

Ms. Zhu was a senior associate at Murray Analytics before joining Brattle, where she conducted and oversaw extensive research and analysis on matters relating to valuation, solvency, fraudulent conveyance, Ponzi schemes, corporate restructuring, and hedge fund/private equity industry custom and practice. She has supported experts in a variety of consulting, litigation, and fiduciary oversight engagements, issued a valuation report on a privately held multinational company in the hospitality industry, and conducted a study on bankruptcy exit financings that was presented at a national valuation conference.

Ms. Zhu previously worked at PwC, where she performed valuations of fixed income securities and private equity investments in the Financial Instruments, Structured Products, and Real Estate (FSR) group, and at OC&C Strategy Consultants, where she led a team in researching retail markets and formulating competitive strategies for clients. She began her career at the Bank of East Asia in FX trading and settlement.

Ms. Zhu is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She received a Master of Finance from the University of Maryland, where she was awarded Robert H. Smith Honors and served as a teaching assistant for graduate-level courses on capital markets, portfolio management, and private equity. Ms. Zhu also holds a B.S. in Economics from Fudan University.
