Mr. Javed is an expert in economic analysis and financial valuation, known for developing creative yet rigorous approaches in complex private-market disputes. He applies this expertise to litigation, arbitration, public policy, and other matters related to software, technology, venture capital, and private markets.

He is particularly experienced in the valuation of private assets, including matters where traditional sources of valuation evidence are limited or unavailable. In a complex valuation matter, a client praised Mr. Javed’s “deep expertise in valuing early-stage companies,” and both the client and arbitrator recognized the effectiveness of his economically grounded approach to challenging valuation issues.

His expert witness experience includes litigation and arbitration proceedings related to the value of private securities and portfolios of private securities, as well as the analysis of contracts with complex options. In addition, Mr. Javed has experience supporting high-stakes litigation related to private credit, electric vehicle manufacturing, public sector debt restructuring, international financial fraud, and securities class actions.

Mr. Javed has more than 20 years of experience as a consultant, investor, and operating executive. He has held leadership positions in product, finance, and go-to-market at a major enterprise software company, growing the business from a private venture-backed startup to a $6 billion public enterprise. In 2019, he co-led the company’s initial public offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Javed was a venture capital investor supporting investments in technology companies, two of which went public. Prior to his investing work, Mr. Javed formed a company to acquire wireless spectrum licenses and worked with investors to purchase spectrum in the United States and Canada.
