Brattle Principal Francesco Lo Passo participated in an Italian Ecological Transition Solidarity (TES) seminar on “Governance and Institutional Assets of the Water Industry,” which took place on October 21 in Forlì, Italy.

The goal of the seminar was to analyze the state of work and political dissertation related to the water industry. Recently drafted laws that have been brought into discussion in Italian Parliament offer a starting point for a balanced and effective solution to the protection of public water.

Dr. Lo Passo addressed several issues related to these proposed laws, including public versus private management of water services, securitization of future revenue streams, and proposed tariffs.
