Comparative review of wind integration

For a Canadian client, reviewed the status of wind integration in 18 markets worldwide. The scope of our work included a review of the nature of wind generation’s participation in each jurisdiction’s markets for energy, ancillary services, and capacity; status of wind forecasting and any obligations it imposes on market participants; interconnection and transmission arrangements for wind; a review of how the addition of wind generation has been estimated to affect the type and the quantity of ancillary services requirements.
