MicroStar–Konvoy Merger Review
A Brattle team provided economic analysis to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) in its review of MicroStar Logistics LLC’s proposed acquisition of Konvoy Holdings Pty Ltd.’s assets. Dr. Wainscoat prepared expert reports addressing competition between the two providers of keg pooling services in Australia, the potential competitive constraint from self-supply, and other issues relevant to the proposed acquisition. The ACCC referenced Principal Dr. Luke Wainscoat’s analysis in its Statement of Reasons explaining its determination that the acquisition must not proceed.
