In a landmark antitrust case, Brattle supported multiple experts retained by the US Department of Justice in its lawsuit alleging that Google had maintained an illegal monopoly in digital advertising technology (AdTech). Among the six experts we supported was Professor Wayne Hoyer of the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business, who served as an expert on the validity of consumer surveys presented by Google’s survey expert. Following a three-week trial, the federal judge ruled in favor of our client, concluding that Google had illegally monopolized key segments of the AdTech market.
