Energy Associate Aniruddh Mohan will moderate the panel, “Searching for Stability in the Rising Tide: Grid Solutions for Large Load Integration,” on Tuesday, April 14, from 3:50 p.m.–5:00 p.m. (ET). The panel will discuss emerging reliability risks, evolving planning and operational practices, and innovative solutions for integrating high-demand loads. Panelists will also examine how technical, regulatory, and logistical considerations shape their approaches to integrating increasingly large loads.

Johannes Pfeifenberger will moderate the panel, “Transmission Planning in Transition: Implementing Order No. 1920 in a Shifting Landscape,” on Wednesday, April 15, from 3:35 p.m.–5:00 p.m. (ET). The panel will examine emerging compliance and litigation issues following the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) Order No. 1920, including the status of ongoing litigation and regional compliance efforts. Panelists will discuss challenges in forecasting future load growth and generation development, the role of merchant transmission in regional planning, and tensions between scenario-based planning requirements and recent legislative proposals that could reshape regional transmission development.
