For the State of Connecticut, Brattle consultants authored the state’s 2009, 2010, and 2012 Integrated Resource Plan report. The Brattle team provided a long-term view and detailed analysis of the resource potential in New England, and compared several resource procurement approaches against potential future scenarios. This culminated in policy recommendations for generation resource procurement over a 10-year horizon. A key component of this effort was an analysis of the New England renewable energy market, including an examination of the renewable supply potential in the region, a detailed evaluation of short-term and long-term supply and demand balance for regional renewable energy, and the potential effect of transmission investment choices on renewable energy development.
